Tourism Industry in Mongolia

Following the democratic transition of 1990, Mongolia opened its economy to international markets and tourism began to grow steadily. New tour operators, hotels, transportation services, and tourism-related businesses were established across the country, creating opportunities for both urban and rural communities.

Today, tourism is recognized as one of Mongolia's important service industries. Visitors are attracted by the country's vast landscapes, including the Gobi Desert, Lake Khövsgöl, the Altai Mountains, and the endless Mongolian steppe.
